Uncertainty and Measurement Systems Analysis

Module Summary

This hands-on training workshop will take you through the statistical analysis methods used to supplement basic calibration.

Who should attend

Anyone involved in performing or interpreting measurement system analysis, or Gage R&R studies.

Deliverables

Attendees will be able to:

  • Use common statistical and graphical tools to study bias, stability, and linearity.
  • Interpret repeatability and reproducibility (R&R), using the ANOVA method.
  • Compare the ANOVA method to the familiar range, or average-and-range, methods.
  • To discuss the difference between %R&R, distinct data categories, and discrimination ratios.
  • Conduct attribute gage studies using both the short-method and the long-method.
