SPC - I, Statistical Process Control - I, MSA, Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and - Validating the Production Trial Run
Module Summary
ISO/TS 16949 requires a statistical analysis of the measuring system and the production process prior to start of production. This course explains the approved methods and provides hands-on experience in using them. See also SPC II -Continuous Improvement.
Who Should Attend
Personnel involved with validating production processes for PPAP, including engineers, supervisors, inspectors, and operators.
Deliverables
Attendees will be able to:
Evaluate measurement systems using the popular "manual calculation" methods known as the short form and long form;
Use the recommended computer method called ANOVA (available on Excel); and check measurement system stability with control charts.
Attendees will also be able to document and explain:
Process capability with control charts
Process performance with histograms and to
Visualize the meaning of capability indices such as Ppk.
