GD&T - Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing - Overview
Module Summary
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is being used more and more throughout the world as a way to assure that components will be functional and interchangeable while maximizing tolerances and minimizing rework. Familiarity with GD&T is required by QS-9000 and ISO/TS 16949
Who Should Attend
All who require casual familiarity with GD&T, or would like a review of the current standard should attend. PTG invites participants to bring in drawings for review, and for added interest.
Deliverables
Attendees will be able to interpret most geometric tolerances with the aid of a pocket guide to ANSI/ASME Standard Y14.5M-1994. (The pocket guide is included with the course.)
Prerequisites
Some familiarity with part drawings and standard dimensioning.
