Counseling Employees on Behavioral and Performance Issues

Summary:

In addition to how well an employee performs the functional duties of their job, performance may include attendance, behavior, attitude, substance abuse, company policies, legal requirements, and internal and external customer service...in other words, HOW employees perform their jobs.

Who Should Attend:

Supervisors and managers responsible for employees' job performance

Deliverables:

After completing this program participants will be able to:

  • Administer company policies fairly
  • Manage employees who violate Company policies, display negative behavior, or have attitude problems that affect group morale or customer service
  • Identify the steps in the company's disciplinary process
  • Appropriately handle substance abuse problems, using the company's policies and procedures
  • Document performance and policy violation issues clearly and objectively
  • Utilize the company's EAP appropriately and effectively
  • Identify specific situations that present challenges and work on solutions
  • Prepare an action plan to apply learning in the workplace
