Recognizing, Managing, and Preventing Sexual Harassment

Summary:

The problem of sexual harassment requires specific knowledge and skills for effective recognition, management, and prevention. This training program provides a practical approach to preventing incidents of harassment and responding appropriately when problems do occur. The format includes opportunities to discuss responses to complex situations and to practice skills learned in the session.

Who Should Attend:

Supervisors, managers, and HR staff that handle sexual harassment complaints

Deliverables:

After completing this program participants will be able to:

  • Recognize key points from the Company Sexual Harassment Policy, complaint procedures, and EEOC guidelines defining the two forms of sexual harassment
  • Differentiate between offensive behavior and harassment
  • Identify sexual harassment in verbal, visual, written, and physical forms
  • Confront possible harassment situations and manage sexual harassment complaints effectively
  • Identify the key concerns in conducting an effective investigation
  • Handle confidentiality, reprisals, retaliation, and false accusations
  • Prevent harassment in the workplace
