Leading a High-Performance Team

Summary:

Team leaders must rely on the process of team building to integrate individual skills and resources into a unified effort. Team building involves encouraging team members to examine how they currently work together, portraying ideal ways of collaborating, exploring current gaps and weaknesses, and implementing more effective ways working together. This workshop will explore team leadership skills and tools for running more effective team meetings.

Who Should Attend:

Supervisors, managers, project leaders and anyone leading a team.

Deliverables:

After completing this program participants will be able to:

  • Distinguish the ingredients for a successful team and team leader
  • Identify the stages and accompanying behaviors in team development
  • Facilitate an effective team meeting through the use of established ground rules, assigned roles, specific agenda, monitoring group process, decision-making techniques, and team involvement
  • Develop tactics to deal with different types of problem behavior in teams
