Process Facilitation Techniques

Summary:

This workshop focuses on process facilitation of team sessions that will maximize sharing ideas, visions, objectives, and will produce results in a short time. Participants will learn to use a variety of collaboration and idea-generating techniques, while guiding the team to accomplishing session goals and objectives. The job of the facilitator is to assist the team in finding the easiest path, or the path of least resistance to the team's goals. This kind of facilitation helps teams to achieve measurable, short-term performance improvement goals with long-term sustaining effects and to establish a deeper understanding of how things work.

Employees at all levels of the organization who facilitate above types of groups

Deliverables:

After completing this program participants will be able to:

  • Identify when this type of facilitation is most effective
  • Demonstrate seven types of Questioning Techniques
  • Utilize facilitator techniques of Idea Development, Idea Judgment, and Action Planning
  • Apply six other specialized techniques and when to use them
  • Handle roadblocks that come up in the session
  • Use general tips to make the session run smoothly
  • Utilize the model DPPE for action learning and continuous improvement
