Summary:	Today mentoring is recognized as one of the most effective ways to develop people...from teen development to executive development. Mentoring can take place on an informal basis with a more experienced person advising a less experienced person. It can also comprise a formalized program in an organization for leadership development or succession planning. Despite the myriad of mentoring programs and experiences, there are particular skills that are helpful in becoming a successful mentor.
Who Should Attend:	Anyone who mentors others
Deliverables:	After completing this program participants will be able to: Recognize the key characteristics and behaviors of an effective mentor Identify seven types of mentor assistance and when each is appropriate Use three key communication skills necessary for effective mentoring Respond appropriately to challenging situations Develop a personal vision as an exceptional mentor
