Presentation Skills

Summary:

Most employees must make presentations, regardless of their level in the organization. This workshop will teach employees how to construct presentations, use interesting audio-visuals to enhance their presentation, engage the audience, and deal with presentation anxiety. Participants will construct and make a presentation, and gain feedback on their presentation. Presentations can be videotaped for improved feedback.

Employees who make presentations as part of their job functions

Deliverables:

After completing this program participants will be able to:

  • Analyze audience needs
  • Identify different purposes of presentations
  • Apply eight steps for constructing a presentation
  • Provide a strong start and finish to the presentation
  • Develop and effectively use different types of audio-visual aids
  • Utilize verbal and body language to engage the audience
  • Utilize tools to handle presentation anxiety

Prerequisites:

None

Program Length:

One day (preferably two half days to permit time in between to develop presentation (CERFDS)
