Stress Management

Summary:

This workshop emphasizes that managing stress begins with people assuming responsibility and control for themselves in the environment in which they function. The ability to choose our response to any given event is the key to minimizing stress and creating a healthy life. Participants will explore their sources of stress, reactions to it, and cognitive, physical, and mental ways to deal with stress.

Who Should Attend:

Employees and leaders at all levels of the organization who are interested in better managing their stress

Deliverables:

After completing this program participants will be able to:

  • Recognize symptoms and effects of stress
  • Identify personal stressors both on and off the job
  • Utilize stress reduction techniques and coping skills at work
  • Recognize the importance of exercise and nutrition in stress management
  • Increase and expand options for stress reduction on and off the job, including cognitive restructuring, deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, yoga, and other techniques
