Six Sigma "Champion" Training

Module Summary

Champions must be prepared to direct the overall Six Sigma effort. This means selecting appropriate projects, selecting black belt candidates, and making sure the black belts have the resources to get the job done.

This covers:

  1. Review of Executive Overview topics
  2. Selecting good projects
  3. Overview of black belt topics
  4. Define and Measure
  5. Analyze
  6. Improve
  7. Control
  8. Selecting black belt candidate.

Deliverables

Attendees will be able to:

  • Describe the characteristics of a good project;
  • Describe, in general terms, the specialized training that black belts will receive, including the uses of each tool; and
  • Select appropriate candidates for black belt training.
  • Participants in the overview will be provided with a copy of: (1) presentation materials and (2) Implementing Six Sigma by Breyfogle.

Who should attend

Senior or Middle Management that are assigned the role of Champion of Six Sigma Projects

Prerequisites

Six Sigma Executive Overview. Champions should bring a laptop computer with statistical software to the class. (Call us for recommendations.)
