Module Summary
|
This course will introduce black belts to Six Sigma, and the Six Sigma application process, which is called "DMAIC" - Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. Specific skills will be developed and practiced for defining and measuring Six Sigma projects:
- DMAIC
- Systematic Problem Solving
- Pareto Charts
- Ishikawa Diagrams
- Process Mapping
- Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
- Statistical Process Control (SPC, part 1)
- Stability
- Capability
- Performance
- Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Life Testing

|
Deliverables
|
Participants will be able to:
- Describe Six Sigma.
- Describe DMAIC.
- Use systematic problem solving, Pareto Charts, Ishikawa Diagrams, process mapping, measurement system analysis, statistical process control, failure mode and effects analysis, and life testing.
Participants in the overview will be provided with:
- A copy of presentation materials
- A copy of Implementing Six Sigma by Breyfogle.

|
Who should attend
|
Managers, supervisors and technical personnel assigned and committed to Six Sigma projects
|
|
Prerequisites
|
Black belts commit to applying themselves to six sigma projects on a full-time basis, usually for two years. Each black belt should come equipped with a laptop computer that has statistical software (Call us for recommendations), flow charting software, and an office package (spreadsheet, word processing, and presentations).
