Office Lean - Administrative Value Stream Management Workshop

Summary

This workshop introduces lean thinking to office workers. Concepts and techniques of Lean Thinking are applied to activities such as purchasing, accounting, human resources, engineering, and product design / development. Administrative personnel will learn how to reduce lead-time by decreasing paperwork inventory and document rework and improve process flow by load leveling. Time spent one-half classroom and one-half office work place.

Who Should Participate

6 to 12 administration personnel from designated departments.

Deliverables

During this workshop participants will learn:

  • Lean systems and tools for the office workplace
  • Theory and practice of Value Stream Management
  • Apply Value Stream Management to office work
  • Relate what they learn to a practice case by mapping the current state, identifying waste in the current state, map a future state and develop an implementation action plan.
  • Use teamwork to boost throughput in the office workplace
