Project Summary
|
The highest assurances of quality on earth and well beyond - the standards of the aerospace industry - now apply to industry at large through NADCAP. NADCAP represents major suppliers, and government agencies in aerospace, defense, and related industries throughout the United States and internationally. NADCAP is administered by the Performance Review Institute (PRI), an independent, not-for-profit trade association affiliated with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).
Through NADCAP, PRI accredits subcontractors and suppliers to aerospace and defense industry consensus standards. The "one-audit, one-time," and for-all accreditation concept offers real cost reductions to both prime contractor and supplier. The following milestones apply:
- Kick off meeting - explain process and establish schedule
- Review operations and documentation
- Document findings
- Closing meeting - review findings

Who Should Participate
|
Senior site managers, supervisors, and process owners should attend the guidance team kick-off workshop. Knowledgeable team participants who can implement improvements normally participate in improvement workshops, e.g., manufacturing, engineering, production control, the supply chain, human resources, purchasing, and financial management comprise a successful lean enterprise team.
