Summary:

The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award is our nation's highest award for quality and performance excellence. Since 1988, close to 50 organizations have been awarded this coveted recognition. This module is a continuation of the state quality award process. Completed application is submitted to the National Baldrige Office. All applicants are provided with a Feedback Report. In some instances a sight visit may be warranted.

This module discusses the approach to be taken to apply for the Baldrige Award.

Senior Management and the managers or directors of the major operating departments of the organization.

Deliverables:

This one-day module addresses the value in applying for our nation's highest award for quality. It addresses the seven categories of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria - how to develop a self-assessment - and how to complete and submit an application for the Baldrige Award.

Prerequisites:

A seasoned and mature quality process that has senior management buy in or the completion and submission of a state quality award application.
